The Dressing Room to Close in December, Hosts Liquidation Sale

Lincoln Square shoppers may get a good price on clothing and accessories but will lose a local business in the neighborhood.

The Dressing Room, on North Lincoln Avenue, is closing its doors after eight years in the community.

The clothing and accessories boutique is holding an 'everything must go' liquidation sale, which started on Tuesday.

Store owner Barbara Ruiz wasn't in when Patch stopped by the store on Tuesday, but a message from the The Dressing Room's Twitter account said, "It's just become too mentally, financially tough."

A sales associate at the store said it would close by mid-December. In an email to shoppers, the store hours are listed as 12 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 12 to 5 p.m. on Sundays and closed on Mondays.

The store moved to 4752 North Lincoln after its first few years one block down at 4635 North Lincoln Avenue. Last month, Ruiz reported problems with shoplifters since moving to her new location.
