Snack and Coffee Store Replaces Tony's Food Pantry

Town's Limits Cantina opened in early September at 1838 W. Lawrence Ave.

Uptown business owners have expanded into Lincoln Square with a new convenience store.

Town's Limits Cantina opened Sept. 11 at 1838 W. Lawrence Ave., formerly Tony's Food Pantry.

Manager Rakan Alamawi said the owners also run Divine Food Market at 4445 N. Broadway and wanted to come to a neighborhood with new development.

"The location is very good," manager Rakan Alamawi said. "There are a lot of people walking past and we hope people stop by in the mornings."

Town's Limits opens while construction on a new Mariano's Market and 150-residential unit development is underway.

Snacks, sodas, sandwiches and coffee are the main products in the store, with a latte machine coming soon, Alamawi said.
