Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Welcome to Patch! Wait... What's Patch?

Here's what we are and how we can help you, from Editor Sarah Flagg.

Hi everyone, and welcome to Lincoln Square Patch. I'm Sarah Flagg, the editor of the site.

With your help, we'll be covering the area’s important and useful stories.

We want Patch to improve your life. You'll know about CTA delays, a local heroic act, the new chef in town or the can't-miss events in your neighborhood.

We’ll also highlight other local media, bloggers and community organizations.

Staying true to the ethics of journalism, we strive for unbiased and accurate news on Patch. Opinions will stay in the opinion category.

A great way to stay connected with us is through our newsletters and breaking news alerts. We also have iPhone, iPad and Android apps. They’ll let you know the top stories and weather forecast on the way to work.

We don’t know everything, so let us know what’s going on!

Everyone is welcome from parent-teacher organizations to politicians to neighborhood watch groups. We want to hear what you have to say, but please remember to respect each other’s opinions.

We love social media. Follow us on Twitter and give us a Like on Facebook. We’ll post extra photos and updates but won’t clog up your timeline.

Lastly, feel free to e-mail or call me with any news tips, story ideas and feedback. News is a conversation and I want you to be a part of it.

I hail from St. Louis, where I was the editor of Mehlville-Oakville Patch for two years. I’ve always wanted to live in Chicago, and can’t wait to get to know Lincoln Square.

Thanks for reading,

Sarah
