Residents will see narrowed lanes on Montrose Avenue this month as workers install structural steel on the Metra bridge. In some cases, the road will be reduced to one lane, said Bill Higgins with Ward 47 Ald. Ameya Pawar's office.

The street will be fully reopened by Feb. 26.

The partial closure comes after Walsh Construction closed the entire street at Ravenswood Avenue from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1.

Now, workers are just finishing up the installation, Higgins said.

The bridge is one of 11 scheduled for replacement in a $225 million Metra improvement project. Upon completion in 2019, Ravenswood will have a new Metra station at Lawrence Avenue and new track. Construction for the project began in September.
