Chamber Office Prepares for Move to West Lawrence

The Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber is moving to a bigger and more interactive space on Western Lawrence Avenue, leaving its current location above the Chicago Brauhaus.

Local businesses will soon be able to use a “simple but professional” workspace through their Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce membership.

The chamber is moving from its current office to a much larger space on West Lawrence Avenue.

The main reason for the move is a lack of visibility at its current location above the Chicago Brauhaus, Executive Director Rudy Flores said. The chamber has been at 4732 N. Lincoln Ave. since the early 1990s.

With their upstairs location, the director said businesses were having a hard time finding the office, and space was growing tight.

The new office is part of a four-storefront building at 2611 W. Lawrence Ave. It’s a much larger space—1,050 square feet compared to the now 350-square-foot office.

The space will allow the chamber to host meetings in a conference room and a offer a computer counter to its members.

“We want to have a space they can utilize if they don’t have an office or if they want to have client meetings,” Flores said.

Chamber staff will transition the office over the month of February and host an open house in April.

The change will save money for the chamber, Flores said. The new office has a storage space, so instead of paying for a unit to house the organization’s tents and Christmas decorations, items can be stored on location.

Transit visitors can still get to the chamber by the Rockwell Brown Line Station.

“Even though it’s not in the heart of the square, it’s great to reach out to another part of the community,” Flores said.
